Hampshire County Council is committed to consulting the local community and stakeholders about the proposals for the Uplands Farm Estate to establish a high quality development that integrates with the existing community, maximises local benefits and addresses potential impacts.

Consultation was undertaken (23 September to 20 October 2017) to help shape the emerging design principles and masterplan for outline proposals for the two sites, which could include:

  • up to 1,025 houses, including affordable homes, of different types and sizes
  • a local centre with up to 1,000 square metres of employment space
  • public open space
  • sports pitches
  • additional allotments
  • a secondary school on the Woodhouse Lane site.

As part of that consultation, Wildern Academy Trust, working alongside the County Council, invited residents to comment on the emerging design for the secondary school.

A public exhibition was held in Botley on Friday, 22 September and in Hedge End on Saturday, 23 September 2017.

We would like to thank everyone who participated in the consultation and provided comments and suggestions on the emerging proposals for the Uplands Farm Estate.  All responses are being reviewed and feedback considered as we continue to develop our masterplan proposals.  A response to the key issues received and how they have been addressed will be provided in the Consultation Report.  This Report will form part of the supporting documentation for the planning applications, which are due to be submitted to Eastleigh Borough Council in spring 2018.
